It’s Coachella Season! How Equal is the Lineup?

This year at Coachella, BLACKPINK, a South Korean girl group, is set to headline on Saturday the 14th and 21st. Some other well-known women in this year’s lineup include Rosalía, Charli XCX, and Becky G!

We are excited to see these talented women take the stage, but how does this female presence compare to the rest of the lineup?

5 years ago, Coachella’s lineup was 34% female fronted. This year’s lineup is only 37% female fronted. While this is progress, the country’s biggest music festival can, and should, do better!
